BASIC LIFE AND AD&D INSURANCE

Provided at no cost for all full-time employees through The Standard

The City of Lancaster provides Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance at no cost to all eligible full-time employees. Employees in AFSCME and Non-Bargaining positions receive $15,000 in coverage, while Police and Fire employees receive $50,000 in coverage. This benefit provides financial protection for your loved ones by paying a benefit to your designated beneficiary in the event of your death. The AD&D portion of the coverage also provides additional benefits if you suffer a covered accidental injury or death.

VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE

The City of Lancaster offers eligible employees the opportunity to purchase additional Life Insurance through convenient payroll deductions. Coverage options vary by employee group:

Fire: $4,000
Police: $8,000
Non-Bargaining: $8,000 or $15,000
AFSCME: $8,000 or $15,000

Premiums are based on your age and are deducted from your paycheck on a bi-weekly basis. Voluntary Life Insurance provides additional financial protection for your loved ones beyond the City's employer-paid Basic Life Insurance coverage.
